'In the relatively short time I have been attending the weekly class I have gained painting skills including colour mixing, composition and textures which have given me confidence to tackle almost anything. So much so I was able to submit earlier this year three works for the Society of Women Artists summer exhibition. Two pieces have been selected'

'I have very much enjoyed the painting classes run by Monica. There is always a friendly atmosphere that feels relaxed and unpressured. Monica is very encouraging for whatever each student wants to do. She has a good eye and quickly sees how to improve a painting whilst also always praising the good elements. I have learnt not to give up on a painting but to modify and develop it. I just wish the sessions were longer!'

'Monica's teaching style: Monica is amazing. She will spend time with you if you ask or need it but also gives you the space to explore and test your own ideas and abilities. She gives constructive advice and positive feedback.
What I've learnt: Although I loved drawing before I started the class, I had very little experience in painting and had never used acrylics. My confidence has now grown and I'm getting to know what style of painting I'm best at.'

'I've been going to Monica's painting class for nearly three years and it really is one of the highlights of my week. Monica is supportive, enthusiastic, and has created a friendly and welcoming community in the painting class.
Monica has helped me develop my individual painting style, but continues to challenge me to learn new skills, try out new techniques and seek inspiration from other artists.
I've gained the confidence to share my paintings on my Instagram account, rather that just with my Mum! And I now look forward to developing pieces to submit into competitions and exhibitions.'
